Pets

Greenage Pet Policy has been drawn in line with the guidelines of Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) and the local civic authorities. If you are bringing a pet to Greenage, or own one, please ensure you follow the guidelines in the policy.

Pets covered under the policy are domesticated animals and exotic birds etc. owned by the residents. No other animal or any species of reptile is considered as a pet by the Greenage Owners Association and shall not be brought inside the premises. Animals of vicious or aggressive disposition who may be potentially harmful for the safety and life of the community are prohibited. Not all breeds of dogs are allowed in communinities, so please check the relevant laws.

IMPORTANT

If you are bringing a pet into Greenage, or have not registered your pet with GOA yet, plesae ensure you register your pet and upload vaccination certificates in myGate application first. Penalities may be levied for failure to do so.

A temporary Pet Play area has been provided near the children’s park between Ebony and Deodar blocks.

Dos​

  1. Register on MyGate: Register your pet on the MyGate app within 7 days of arrival to comply with community governance.
  2. Update Vaccinations: Maintain and upload up-to-date annual Anti-Rabies Vaccination (ARV) records digitally as mandated by statutory BBMP regulations.
  3. Leash Your Pet: Always keep pets on a leash (4–6 feet maximum length) under active adult supervision outside your flat.
  4. Clean Up Immediately: Carry waste bags and immediately pick up your pet’s poop when walking in permitted common areas.
  5. Use Designated Bins: Dispose of collected pet waste exclusively in the provided yellow pet-waste bins.
  6. Use Approved Relief Zones: Take pets for exercise and relief only to designated pet parks, non-landscaped patches, or the Upper Basement (UB).
  7. Allow Lift Access: Respect that pets are permitted to share lifts; use them responsibly alongside fellow residents.
  8. Report Issues via MyGate: Log any pet-related concerns, cleanliness issues, or policy violations directly through the MyGate app rather than personal confrontation.
  9. Display Identification: Ensure registered pets wear their official identification tags for easy recognition and safety.
  10. Foster Peaceful Coexistence: Respect non-pet owners’ comfort while exercising your rights as a responsible pet caregiver under AWBI guidelines.

Don’ts​

  1. Don’t Skip Registration: Avoid keeping unregistered pets beyond the designated timeline after arriving in the complex.
  2. Don’t Allow Off-Leash Walking: Do not let pets roam un-leashed outside designated dog play areas.
  3. Don’t Soil Common Areas: Never allow pets to poop or pee on walking paths, garden pathways, or inside lifts.
  4. Don’t Use Lawn Areas: Do not allow pets to play, dig, or walk on landscaped lawns, including near the Main Gate.
  5. Don’t Enter Restricted Zones: Never take pets into clubhouse interiors, swimming pool decks, or the amphitheater.
  6. Don’t Feed Strays In Restricted Spots: Avoid feeding stray animals near children’s parks or leaving plastic litter behind in common areas.
  7. Don’t Groom in Common Areas: Do not use shared public spaces or garden zones for pet grooming.
  8. Don’t Direct-Confront Residents: Refrain from aggressive or intimidating personal confrontations with fellow residents, walkers, or staff regarding pet issues.
  9. Don’t Abandon or Compel Removal: Do not attempt to ban, remove, or compel abandonment of pets based on breed, size, or barking.
  10. Don’t Ignore Vaccination Deadlines: Never let vaccination records expire or fail to provide valid Anti-Rabies Vaccination certificates.
