Greenage is one of the first societies in Bangalore to implement EV charging. Greenage has 2 EV charging stations. Slots for using EV chargers must be mandatorily booked through myGate amenities feature.
EV Charging Station – Cedar Block
Adjancent to Cedar Block we have :
- One 7.4 kW AC charger primarily suitable for cars.
- Six 3.3 kW AC chargers suitable for two wheelers.
The 7.4kW charger is operated by Delta. 3.3kW chargers are operated by Ather.
EV Charging Station – Oak Block
Adjacent to Oak block (towards Oxford college side) we have :
- One 30kW charger CCS2 DC.
- Two 7.4kW chargers AC-Type II.
This charger facility is operated by Adani.
EV Charging Rules
- Users must vacate the charging slot promptly after charging. In case a complaint is received that a vehicle overstayed at the slot, the Helpdesk will attempt to contact the vehicle owner on a best-effort basis. If the vehicle remains parked beyond 15 minutes after the booked slot ends, or the owner is not reachable, the vehicle may be clamped.
- Non-EV units are prohibited from booking slots. Non-EV units who book EV slots will be black listed from use of all amenities. EV Owners to keep an eye on the bookings to be sure only their co-EV owners are booking
- Any non-EV vehicle parked in EV charging slots will also be clamped, and a penalty of ₹500 will apply.
- Duration of each slot will depend on the type and rated capacity of the charger. There will be a cooling-off period after each use, to promote fair use of the chargers
- Any EV found charging in the designated EV slots without a valid booking on MyGate will be clamped, and a penalty of ₹500 will be imposed for unclamping. EV owners can report unauthorized usage by:
- Raising a Helpdesk complaint on MyGate under the dedicated “EV Charging” category, and
- Calling the Greenage Helpdesk (9AM to 6PM) or Greenage Security (6PM to 9AM) for quicker response
- Repeated violations will lead to higher penalties which will be in the multiples of Rs.500.
